Supervisor Shipping and Receiving

Knows and is able to safely coordinate evacuation procedures.
-
Maintain and monitor QS-9000 / TS16949 quality systems for their shift.
-
Maintain and monitor ISO14001 environmental systems for their shift.
-
Manage employee hours in Kronos daily and ensure all hours are accurate and updated prior to payroll submission.
-
Manage employee daily and weekend overtime and ensure that proper rotation processes per union contract are followed.
-
Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
-
Analyze, initiate and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
-
Confer with other Supervisors to coordinate activities of the plant.
-
Attend meetings as required.
-
Ensures employee performance and development goals are established – where applicable ensures employee understands LEM behaviors (Team Leaders) and conduct Performance Evaluation as required.

Handles all Requests For Shipments put in by each individual MP&L scheduler, Plant Quality Engineer, New Model Coordinator etc.

Prioritize and schedule all loading of trailers.
-
Handle and prioritize all calls from MP&L schedulers.
-
Keep accurate paperwork and accurately finalize each individual shipper.
-
Handle shipper problems and correct records within Mfg Pro and customer systems.
-
Document damaged trailer reports.
-
Ensure correct premium codes and paperwork are created for expedited shipments and update PF log.
-
Check doors and lock equipment at the beginning of each shift and fill out a report to document what works and what needs repair. Requests for repair need to be entered into computer system and Maintenance will be called for any repairs needed.

Responsible to enforce all safety rules and guidelines associated with BOS procedures and OSHA standards.
-
Responsible for performing safety, dock and forklift audits as required.
-
Responsible for training, testing and certifying all material handlers.
-
Responsible for receiving all trucks and processing the paperwork required, receipt accuracy and supplier/packaging labeling conformances.
-
Responsible for ensuring all receipts are entered prior to end of shift to ensure inventory levels are accurately reflected in QAD system.
-
Responsible for ensuring all shipping and receiving procedures are understood and adhered to as defined by Materials team and BOS.
-
Responsible for tracking storage trailer content and safety per CTPAT requirements as well as enforcing CTPAT S&R requirements
-
Responsible for 5S maintenance through shipping and receiving areas and improvements. This includes labeling, square to the world principles, part presentation, visual inventory management, etc.

Responsible for carrier window time conformance. (Both shipping and receiving.)

This person will have some contact with the customer as a primary contact on off-shifts as well as monitoring customer systems on off-shifts

Responsible for timely and accurate movement of material within the facility.

This person is responsible for ensuring proper communication from the floor and docks to the management staff for any and all material-related issues. (I.e. Hot parts, missed trucks, safety issues, personnel issues, quality issues, etc)

Responsible for FIFO of product within Shipping and Receiving Areas, and Pharmacy.

Responsible to coordinate and segregate all potential non-conforming material within warehouse. (Obsolete material, incoming inspection items, quality sorts, etc.), returns to vendors and properly handling returns from customers.

This person will handle all employee issues within the Shipping, Receiving, AGV and Pharmacy functions (union, performance, overtime, vacation, etc.)

Any other duties assigned.
Your Qualifications
Qualification Requirements, Education and/or Experience:
-
High School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
-
At least 3 of years of shipping and receiving experience. Previous experience Material Planning/Purchasing preferred.
-
Previous supervision experience required.
-
Knowledge of Plant location – ability to give traffic directions.
-
Demonstrate excellent written, oral and math skills.
-
Strong computer (excel, word processing, email, etc) skills.
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to plan, organize, communicate and motivate employees.
-
Ability to prioritize work day schedule of self and others.
-
Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs to a height of 4-5 feet.
-
Ability to stand for 3-4 hours before a break.
-
Ability to work overtime with little or no warning.
-
Ability to work in extreme conditions of heat (90-115 degrees) for extended periods of time.
-
Ability to obtain and maintain a Hilo driver permit.
