Superintendent Production
Job Description
Manage assigned production supervisors to accomplish duties as laid out below
2. Ensure the production of products in accordance to product design specifications
3. Ensure the use of established quality production processes that meet documented product standards
4. Ensure desired standard production rates and product yields are achieved from the use of raw materials
5. Timely output of product in response to customer orders
6. Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all production equipment in the plant
7. Establish procedures for the effective performance of production tasks and to supervise staff in the proper
execution of those procedures
8. Support and implement JCMS principles throughout production
9. Proper execution of union agreements with all production of appropriate disciplinary actions; disciplinary actions regarding suspension or termination are implemented through a review board
10. Provide recommendations to the Plant Manager for capital investments to maintain or improve the quality of the production process
11. Oversee the job tasks available and coordinate the adjusted work for employee with work restrictions
12. Provide timely reporting as required by plant procedures
13. Follow appropriate BOS, JCMS and other company policies and procedures
14. Participate as a regular member of the management team
15. All other duties as assigned
Your Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent, required
Some higher education in Business or Technical field, preferred
- Should have 7 years of manufacturing experience as well as 5 years of supervisory experience in similar environment – Prio
r ISO or TS experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrate excellent written, oral and math skills
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Email, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to plan, organize, communicate and motivate employees
- Flexibility to work other shifts and overtime
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 60lbs, and carry it a distance of 30-50 feet
- Ability to lift approximately 50lbs to a height of 4-5 feet
- Ability to stand for 3-4 hours before a break
- Knowledge of safe equipment operation – crane, injection molding machine, paint booth, etc.
- Ability to safely work around heavy machinery and equipment
- Ability to work in extreme conditions of heat (90-115 degrees) for extended periods of time
- Other training as defined by training matrix
