• Design, develop, test and evaluate integrated systems for industrial production processes.• Develop past problem roadmap for launch program.• Prepare and maintain design failure mode and effects analysis documentation.• Participate in manufacturing development of process flows, process failure mode, effects analysis, and design and process control plans.• Conduct measurement system analysis for product launch and verify all measuring devices are included in the control plan and product development for Six Sigma scorecard.• Ensure preparation and on-time delivery of new product launch related customer production part approval process packages.• Conduct initial capability studies documented for initial builds and product changes affecting characteristics, and customer requirements.• Utilize experience working on Six Sigma and continuous improvement projects involving application of DMAIC tools to resolve customer launch and track product quality, and development of inspection method gages with statistical process control planning.• Application of GD&T standards to design and develop gages and conduct process capability studies; CAD in 3D design software (such as AutoCAD and Pro E/CATIA) and development of measurement plans for components and assembly• Application of Minitab software in manufacturing processes to optimize processes and develop specifications based on DOE results.• Problem solving experience with Fishbone diagram, 5 why methodology for roots cause investigation and use of 8D problem solving approach for resolving customer issues and internal quality issues.
Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering plus one (1) year of experience as a Quality, Product Development, or Industrial Engineer, performing primarily the same duties as those in the job offered. Also requires ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer). Requires 20% international travel (Mexico, primarily).
