Process Technician

Job Description

1. Responsible for troubleshooting any issues related to the injection molding processes, robot programs or the associated equipment. Documents and communicates with other Process Technicians, ME, and Shift Supervisor results of problem solving, and any deviations from established methods or procedures that may be necessary to resolve specific issues.
2. Responsible for start-ups for all molding production on the assigned shift, executing colour changes and production start-ups after tool changes
3. Responsible for establishing process parameters, setting up EOAT, and establishing robot programs for new mold tools.
4. Maintain s documentation for process equipment such as reference sheets, monitoring sheets, waterline diagrams, gate seals, robot programs, etc.
5. Maintains a thorough knowledge of acceptable quality standards established by the quality   department to ensure maximum production of saleable parts.
6. Systematically checks all variables to ensure best possible balance of quality and quantity under specific prevailing conditions.
7. Supervises injection molding processes to ensure proper controls are being maintained.
8. Analyze operations for possible improvements in methods, procedures, or design.  Recommend s such improvements to the ME.  Run all DOEs and launch samples.
9. Assist s the Production Supervisors in training of the associates for line operation, and monitoring what the associates will be required to complete as part of the process controls.
10. Responsible to monitor Maintenance Set-up Technician mold change program loading and set-ups, as well as Operator inspecting and verifying the first shot checks to assure proper methods were followed to produce a quality part.

Requirement
Education/Major
0. High School Diploma or equivalent, emphasis on mathematics, and mechanical.
Work Experience
0.  Five years’ experience with injection molding, or the equivalent in related college courses.
