The Process Technician directly reports to the
Lead-Process Technician/Field Process Engineer and is responsible for all
operations within their designated area and shift. The Process Technician, is
to work with the Lead-Process Technician, Resin Handlers and Die Setters of
their area and shift as an effective team. The Process Technician works with
production management, quality control, maintenance, process and manufacturing
engineering reporting statistics to plan and modify process activities to
support customer requirements and drive continuous improvement. The focus of
this position is to strength the activities on the manufacturing floor between
Process and Manufacturing Engineering, to achieve a lean culture,
accountability, improvement processes and efficiency. The Process Technician is
responsible for reporting and meeting all Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
their assigned area, as set by the Technical Manager, which include scrap
reductions, cycle time improvements, material handling improvements and 5S
Responsible for daily set-up and monitoring of the
parameters on production injection molding equipment.
Responsible for ensuring daily production key measure
(e.g. quality, efficiency, production quantities, scrap, etc.) for injection
molding operations are met.
Works on floor completing technical daily injection
molding processing duties.
Supports Process Engineering
in development of process parameters and process improvements.
Responsible for training resin handlers and die
Develops plans for injection molding process
improvement and will have specific areas of accountability in its execution, while working with the Process Engineering team to make
further improvements and monitoring the downstream impact to the parts.
3-5 years as a Process Tech or Process Engineer in
Automotive injection molding.
High School education or equivalent. Some collage or
formal training preferred
Experience and/or training in RJG, Six Sigma Green or Black
demonstrate solid skills in communication, interpersonal relations, and ability
to improve performance.
Time Management skills
and ability to prioritize.
Basic Microsoft programs
(Excel, Work and Outlook.)
