Materials Analyst

Job Description

1. Participate in all customer required training and become an expert for assigned customer’s requirement for all aspects of materials planning and logistics.  This includes all specific requirements via customer managed web portals and communication interfaces.
2. Monitor and maintain action items assigned via customer managed web portals and other communications interfaces.
3. Use corporate template to gather new product launch information and set up MMS in the ERP system.
4. Monitor daily/weekly customer delivery schedule and provide short term and long term production plan with the goal of 100% on time delivery.
5. Coordinate with Inventory analyst and assist in cycle count variance investigations.
This includes follow up and driving actions to correct root causes.
6. Coordinate with production department (Team Leaders, Production Supervisors, and Production Managers) to ensure materials and packaging are queued to meet daily production goals.
7. Responsible for container and material flow into and out of HUB area, inclusive of maintaining organization to the plant layout.
8. Oversee 5S and Layered Process Audit activities within areas of responsibility - drive corrective actions.
9. Continuously improve performance through process improvements and lean initiatives while leading performance management and corrective action processes for Team Members.
10. Evaluate departmental processes.  Recommend and coordinate needed changes based on process evaluation.
11. Plan, Do, Check, and Adjust to resolve non-performance for department measurable.
12. Coordinate with Operations, Materials and HR for appropriate staffing levels, participate in interviews, on boarding new staff, Employee orientation, communicating goals, measure and evaluate staff performance.
13. Administer Employee policies, practices, procedures, guidelines and work rules, including BOS/TS16949/ISO14001 requirements.
14. Serve on committees and teams as department representative. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks, and as needed filling in for absent supervisors.
15. Other continuous improvement projects and duties as required
 
Education/Major
Post-secondary degree with minimum of 3 years work experience within a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution environment with a focus on material flow.
