Cut plant costs by creating projects
and working with teams to collect data, evaluate the outcome and implementing
the changes. Run kaizen events and use Lean Manufacturing tools to eliminate
waste and shorten lead times.
1. Conduct kaizen events, identify
key individuals for kaizen team membership and secure their availability
directly or with the assistance of their supervisor/manager.
2. Facilitate High Performance Teams.
3. Identify and eliminate waste
within processes based on a Gemba approach, using key process metrics as
drivers, and a thorough knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
4. Conduct time studies and line
balancing to improve efficiency in assembly operations.
5. Prepare detailed plans to track
project performance and assure timely completion and achievements of quality
and savings goals using the CI track improvement project tracking system.
6. Identify barriers to project
success and solicit help from process owners when needed.
7. Document improvement process
findings and share best practices with other YF plants, manage the sharable and
best practice submission / implementation process.
8. Identify sustainability savings
to reduce utility and other fixed costs, work with the EHS and Maint/Facility
9. Use six sigma methods and advanced
problem solving (Kepner Tregoe) as required, participate in the Q-loop process
for closing out issues with the 8D problem solving tool with the 8D problem
10. Update YFIMS system w/ evidence
of completed principles for CI and Tech-responsible YFIMS pillars.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in
