Job Description

Job Summary:

Assists in the administration of HR activities across multiple HR areas. Provides other basic HR support as needed. Responsible for assisting the HR Manager in the day-to-day processes within the plant HR office.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Assists in the recruiting, interviews, and selects employees to fill vacant positions

  2. Conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals

  3. Maintain and process weekly payroll for hourly personnel through our Kronos timekeeping system

  4. Keeps record of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, leave status and terminations within the HR management system(s).

  5. Assists in the investigation of accidents/incidents

  6. Gathers information and helps in the preparation to reduce absenteeism and turnover

  7. Represents organization at personnel related hearings and investigations

  8. Keeps records of hired employee characteristics for governmental purposes

  9. Works as a liaison to help employees with company benefits plans and payroll concerns

  10. Assists in the training efforts of the plant through in-plant training and programs designed to improve team member skills in production, quality and safety

  11. Knows corporate personnel policies and supports the same; improves plant personnel policies and may assist in the designing and formalizing local policies as needed

  12. Becomes active in community and public activities and represents the company in many of these activities

  13. Assists in the activities that may include sports programs, company picnics, open house, and other activities designed to give team members a favorable image of their company and local management

14. Other duties as assigned

Common Requirements:

2. Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS): Understand, apply and meet all function-related EHS requirements.

3.Product Safety: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Product Safety requirements.

4. Compliance: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Compliance requirements.

5. Information Security: Understand, apply and meet all function-related IT / Information Security and confidentiality of YFAI information requirements.

Your Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or
equivalent 5 years Human Resources experience

Work Experience: Industry experience,
Knowledge working with UAW, Onboarding Experience, Processing Payroll, Proficient
in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. KRONOS Timekeeping System knowledge is preferred.
