Financial Analyst

Job Description
The Financial Analysts assist in the data collection and reporting of the plants financial statements and time reports. They are responsible for fixed assets within the facility and work within the quality system.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Supports the Plant Controller in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial accounting and reporting.

Actively supports the Plant Controller in the preparation of the annual profit plan and quarterly forecasts.

Develops standard costs to establish an acceptable base for measuring product cost, expense control, and plant performance.

Provides financial support for plant manufacturing initiatives, including completion of ad-hoc financial analysis on performance trends and development of analytical tools for use by the production department.

Uses Best Business Practices (BBP) as a tool to identify and drive cost reductions throughout the plant.

Acts as a Business Partner with Customer Business Unit to analyze commercial margin related trends and identify areas of opportunity.

Ensure internal controls within the plant are in place and adhered to.

Has the ability to serve as backup for Plant Controller at times when Plant Controller is unavailable.
Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Ability to work well under deadlines.

Ability to communicated daily Key Performance Metrics with the management team.

Desired but not required: Strong supervisory skills with an emphasis in accountability.

Experience in the Automotive Industry.

Experience with MFG Pro/SAP operating systems. Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).

Professional Certification or Advanced Degree (i.e. CPA, CMA, or MBA).
-
Sarbanes-Oxley exposure.
