Assistant Controller

Job Description

Primary responsibilities include forecasting and performing month end close activities.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Complete daily reporting of Sales, Labor and Scrap.

  • Prepare and present weekly profit forecast in management reviews.

  • Perform detailed Sales and COGS analysis to support annual Profit Plan and monthly forecasts.

  • Prepare monthly variance explanations and analysis of actuals to forecast.

  • Perform weekly mix analysis of Sales.

  • Facilitate cross-functional process improvement, with an emphasis on operational cost reductions.

  • Participate in special projects & analysis.

  • Perform General Ledger analysis, including completion of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.

  • Assist in month-end journal entries and financial closings.

  • Validate that productivity project savings are reading through to financial statement actuals.

  • Participate in BOM audits and reviews of standard cost on all parts, including annual cost roll.

  • Process intercompany POs as necessary, collaborating with other facilities to resolve issues.

  • Reconcile billing to Just-In-Time-Delivery system.

  • Coordinate with Accounts Receivables on monthly reconciliations.

  • Responsible for fixed assets in the facility, including asset audits and monthly capital expenditure forecast.

  • Support SOX and Internal Controls Audit.

  • Verify Cycle Count and Inventory reviews comply with controls.

  • Participate in annual Physical Inventory and performs Physical Inventory reconciliations.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and ensures safe working procedures in production areas.

    Performs other duties deemed necessary by the Controller

Your Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree in Accounting or equivalent

Work Experience: Two years in manufacturing or accounting areas described above.

  2. Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS): Understand, apply and meet all function-related EHS requirements.

  3. Product Safety: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Product Safety requirements.

  4. Compliance: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Compliance requirements

Information Security: Understand, apply and meet all function-related IT / Information Security and confidentiality of YFAI information requirements
