Job Description

The IT system administrator will be responsible for the Backup and the Server & Storage environment in our offices & techcenter in the region EU&SA

Tasks

• Operate and administrate the existing EMC Networker Backup Environment
• Administration of VMware Environment and attached Systems
• Administrate the SAN environment and components
• Take care of the network environment in collaboration with our service partners
• Tracking and processing of infrastructure related support tickets
• Analyze and resolve infrastructure problems, develop and implement corrective solutions
• Focus on excellent customer service
• Application of best practices and standards
• Participation in the design and development of long-term strategies for future infrastructure standards
• On-site support of infrastructure in satellite offices within EMEA (focus on Germany and Eastern Europe)
• In addition to the above tasks other activities and responsibilities can be defined individually

Your Qualifications

Qualifications

• Qualification as specialist in systems integration or similar education
•  At least five years of professional experience in a similar role
• Good knowledge in English and German in word and writing
• Experienced in EMC networker or comparable backup systems
• Experienced in dealing with EMC data domains and storage systems
• Experienced with VMware products e.g. ESXi and vCenter and their management (setup, troubleshooting etc.)
• Advanced Experience with Microsoft Server Operating Systems
• Knowledge of cisco switches
• Basics Linux skills
• Knowledge of scripting language would be an advantage (bash, vbscript, powershell)
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to prioritize workload, to work independently even under heavy workloads
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience of working in a team oriented environment.
• Microsoft certifications and experience with ITIL would be an advantage
• Highly motivated
• Driving license
