Are you ready for the challenge?
This person will be part of the strategic planning team and lead
the North America forecasting for the, market, and competitive intelligence
activities that will provide information to leadership to enable better
decisions by consolidating external and organizational knowledge and making it
accessible to the cross functional team(s). Support the design,
coordination, execution, and updating of ongoing primary and secondary market
research activities including data gathering, analysis, writing, reporting, and
presenting. Manage a methodology to effectively and efficiently share market forecasting
and intelligence with the broader organization.
Gain broad exposure to the organization by developing relationships with
product groups, finance, customer business units, and senior leadership. Mentor
other regions as needed. Develop skills
to set up a competitive intelligence system within the organization, allowing
business units to input and capture knowledge when they discover a competitor.
This individual works independently to develop targeted market forecasting intelligence
analyses relating to markets, competitors, suppliers, partners, and
technologies. Analyses include:
- OEM production forecast
& trend analysis (70% of time)
- Mentor other regions
with regards to forecasting methodology
- Competitor profiles
incl. footprint database
- Support a Competitive
- Support the Global Monthly
Market Trends newsletter and initiatives
- Conduct analyses as
required to support special projects
- Build and manage
relationships with third party vendors (e.g., IHS)
- Bachelor’s Degree in
Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline
- Experience developing
automotive market forecasts
- Strong analytical skills
- High degree of comfort
and skill in using analytical tools and systems
- Willingness and desire
to build relationships and network
- Experience working in
the Automotive Industry is a big Plus
